The best gift this Christmas was seeing my family together.
We really did nothing unusual but it was fun. Of course the present opening was Tyler's favorite part of the day. We all enjoyed it though. Dad invited our friends, Leo and Judy, who decided to bring a WHOLE ROASTED PIG!! (a special treat in their country -- now our special treat). That added to Gastone's always absolutely fabulously delicious and overabundant menu had us groaning with overfilled pleasure by the end of the meal. My son, Jon-Paul, and his wife, Alexandra, who had spent the day with her family (and already ate their first Christmas meal) joined us for dinner to help try to make a small dent in the feast!
My daughter, Francesca, her husband, Greg, Tyler and I drove up to a local snow area and threw not-so-soft snowballs at one another yesterday. It was very exciting for Tyler who hasn't seen snow since he was four years old. (We visited our Italian relatives and drove up into the Alpini - a beautiful area -- not too far from their home in Venice) for a snow fest that year!!)
No art making, but lots of possibilities for the days to come...

I hope your holidays, too, are filled with love and laughter!
